What happened: Arne Slot said Liverpool supporters booed because the team failed to win, after a 1-1 home draw with Chelsea at Anfield. He pointed to a recent run of three wins, one loss and one draw in the last five games, but said that still falls short of Liverpool's standard. The comments came amid visible crowd frustration during and after the match.

Why it matters: The draw keeps pressure on Slot as Liverpool try to lock down a top-five finish and Champions League qualification. Liverpool ended the day fourth, but only one point ahead of Aston Villa, who had a game in hand. The remarks also fit the same message from Slot's vow that Liverpool will improve next season, with fan patience clearly thinning now.

What to watch: Watch whether Aston Villa overtake Liverpool with their next result and how Slot's side respond in their following match. Fan reaction at Anfield and the club's summer plans are now the key pressure points.
