What happened: Outfielder Brett Callahan is emerging as a premier offensive threat for the Erie SeaWolves during a significant 2026 breakout. The left-handed hitter has successfully paired elite raw power with improved plate discipline to anchor the middle of the lineup.

Why it matters: Callahan’s surge has elevated his status within the Detroit Tigers organization ahead of this winter's Rule 5 Draft. His ability to stay healthy and drive the ball consistently has transformed him from a depth piece into a legitimate candidate for the 40-man roster.

What to watch: Continued production will likely earn Callahan a promotion to Triple-A Toledo before the season concludes.
