What happened: Karl-Anthony Towns shared a message of support for Anthony Edwards following the New York Knicks' 2026 NBA Championship victory. The Knicks secured their first title in 53 years with a series-clinching win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.

Why it matters: The gesture highlights the enduring bond between the former teammates despite the 2024 blockbuster trade that sent Towns to New York. While Towns reaches the NBA summit, Anthony Edwards enters a pivotal summer in Minnesota following a second-round playoff exit.

What to watch: The Knicks will host their championship parade in Manhattan this week, while the Timberwolves shift focus to high-stakes roster construction around Edwards.
