What happened: Atlanta Falcons coach Jeff Ulbrich said Thursday that cornerback AJ Terrell performed well during Wednesday's practice, per Marc Raimondi. The session followed the club's decision to open Terrell's 21-day practice window after he was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 22 ahead of the Green Bay matchup.

Why it matters: Ulbrich previously backed Terrell as the NFL's premier boundary cornerback, making his return central to stabilizing Atlanta's outside coverage. While the veteran works his way back from injured reserve, Avieon Terrell is slated to make his first NFL start on the outside Sunday.

What to watch: Coach Kevin Stefanski has not ruled AJ Terrell out for Sunday, leaving the final week-end injury report to determine whether Atlanta activates him to the 53-man roster.
