What happened: Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt stated that the extended wait before postponing Friday's ALCS Game 4 at Progressive Field was MLB's decision and out of the club's control. The postponement was announced more than an hour after the scheduled 6 p.m. ET first pitch following heavy rain in Cleveland.

Why it matters: Pushing Game 4 to Saturday eliminates the scheduled off-day and compresses the middle of the series into back-to-back games. Both pitching staffs retain their planned starters without burning bullpen arms during a stop-and-start weather delay.

What to watch: Shawn Armstrong and Nick Martinez remain slated to start Saturday's rescheduled Game 4 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Game 5 on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
