What happened: A reported concept links the Yankees and Rockies in a deal involving Mickey Moniak or Jake McCarthy, with Will Warren proposed as Colorado's return. Clubs have until Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. ET to complete trades.

Why it matters: Warren allowed two earned runs or fewer in 13 of his first 18 starts for New York. That rotation production is worth more to the Yankees than either Colorado outfielder alone.
