What happened: Manning's 50-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Wingo helped Texas build a 24-3 lead. Ole Miss tied the game at 24 before Texas pulled ahead in the fourth quarter.

Why it matters: The uneven outing has added to speculation about whether Manning will stay at Texas, enter the NFL draft or transfer in 2027. A season-ending injury to Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby adds a pass-protection challenge for the rest of this season.

By the numbers: Manning completed 18 of 30 passes for 212 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for two scores.

What to watch: Texas plays again Saturday. Manning's decisions under pressure will remain in focus.
