What happened: Pro Football Focus noted Wednesday that quarterback Drake Maye has hit his stride during the 2026 NFL regular season. The evaluation follows an Oct. 20 press conference and consecutive weekly Auman All-Star selections earned by Oct. 14.

Why it matters: The stretch marks a rebound for the same Drake Maye who addressed early-season offensive struggles on Sept. 20. Across 17 games in 2025, the 2024 third overall pick completed 354 of 492 passes for 4,394 yards with 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions, per ESPN as of Sept. 29, 2026.

What to watch: Maye continues Week 8 preparation ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline.
