What happened: Nathan Eovaldi worked out of the bullpen in the previous game for the Rangers. Thursday's matchup is scheduled to begin at 0-0 with the Rangers leading the series 2-0.

Why it matters: That deployment gives the Rangers another late-game option as the series moves forward. It also sharpens the focus on how Eovaldi could be used again if the next game stays tight.

What to watch: Watch whether Eovaldi is held back for another bullpen assignment as the next game unfolds.
