What happened: Atlanta cleared cornerback AJ Terrell from injured reserve on Saturday with no game injury designation, putting the 2020 No. 16 overall pick back in the lineup after a groin injury for Sunday's game against San Francisco. In corresponding roster moves reported by Marc Raimondi, the Falcons signed defensive end Drake Jackson and placed offensive lineman Michael Jerrell on injured reserve.

Why it matters: The 2-4 Falcons regain a starting cornerback after ruling out linebacker Divine Deablo and running back Brian Robinson Jr. for the Week 7 matchup. Terrell returns to face a 49ers offense that activated receiver Christian Kirk from injured reserve while ruling out wideouts Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel alongside defensive end Nick Bosa and linebacker Garret Wallow. Jerrell's move to injured reserve removes an offensive line piece whom coach Kevin Stefanski recently credited for handling a tough pass rush, while Jackson adds depth on the edge.

What to watch: Terrell is expected to play Sunday against the 49ers, while Khalil Herbert is set to serve as Bijan Robinson's backup in Atlanta's backfield.
