What happened: Haas has limited Rafael Camara's race seat strictly to the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix for now. Formula 1 regulations permit a maximum of four different race drivers per team in a single season. With Camara joining Oliver Bearman, Esteban Ocon, and Ryo Hirakawa on the team's 2026 roster, Jack Doohan cannot drive this year without special FIA dispensation.

Why it matters: The four-driver ceiling restricts Haas's roster flexibility following Ocon's late-season departure. Because Hirakawa has already made a race start for the team, he remains the only external option eligible to return if needed. Any other reserve driver is barred from participating over the final rounds.

What to watch: Camara will make his Formula 1 debut at Interlagos this weekend. Haas will determine its driver lineup for the remaining rounds afterward.
