What happened: Haas confirmed Esteban Ocon will no longer drive for the team across the remainder of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Rafael Câmara will partner Ollie Bearman starting at the São Paulo Grand Prix. The move hands the Brazilian driver his Formula 1 debut on home soil.

Why it matters: The early promotion accelerates the team's planned transition after Haas signed Ferrari junior Rafael Camara to a multi-year deal for 2027. Ocon had already planned to leave Haas at year's end, but the midseason exit follows reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa stepping into the car at Mexico City.

What to watch: Câmara and Bearman take the grid for Haas at Interlagos when practice for the São Paulo Grand Prix begins Friday.
