What happened: Lamar Jackson is working with new Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle this offseason as the team retools its play-calling for the 2026 season. It marks the third offensive coordinator Baltimore has installed since drafting Jackson in 2018.

Why it matters: The change carries weight because of a recurring trend: each of the two previous times the Ravens brought in a new coordinator, Jackson responded with an NFL MVP season in that coordinator's first year. With Baltimore aiming to defend its standing atop the AFC, the chemistry between Jackson and Doyle becomes one of the more consequential storylines of the offseason.

By the numbers: Third offensive coordinator for the Ravens since they drafted Jackson in 2018. In each of the prior two coordinator changes, Jackson won league MVP in the new coordinator's debut season.

What to watch: Watch how Jackson and Doyle's offensive install develops through training camp ahead of the 2026 opener.
