What happened: The undisputed super-lightweight champion has officially announced her retirement following a farewell bout against Flora Pili at Croke Park on September 5, 2026. The announcement marks the first professional boxing event at the 82,000-capacity stadium since Muhammad Ali fought there in 1972.

Why it matters: The event fulfills Taylor's long-held dream of a massive stadium homecoming in Ireland and concludes one of the most decorated careers in combat sports history. Taylor (25-1) will defend her WBA, WBO, IBF, and Ring Magazine titles while seeking to become a three-time undisputed world champion by adding the vacant WBC belt in her final appearance.

What to watch: Promoters are expected to release ticket information for the 82,300-seat venue next week as Taylor begins her final training camp.
