What happened: Carolina added a cornerback and a defensive assistant coach on Friday. The secondary move comes three days after the Panthers released cornerback Robert Rochell, who had signed Oct. 13.

Why it matters: The staff addition follows the exit of pass-game coordinator Jonathan Cooley, a move that came after the dismissal of defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. Carolina has now reworked both its cornerback room and its defensive coaching staff within a week.

What to watch: Carolina looks to end a two-game losing streak with the new additions in place.
