What happened: Kyle Schwarber crushed another second-deck home run, the latest in a stretch that has him sitting atop the major leagues in long balls. The blast pushed his season total to 29, the most of any hitter in baseball.

Why it matters: The shot came a night after Schwarber notched the fifth three-homer game of his career, underscoring how locked in he has been at the plate. A power surge of this length reshapes the middle of a lineup and keeps a slugger squarely in the early home-run conversation.

What to watch: Watch whether Schwarber keeps the league HR lead and how far he can stretch the gap over the field in the weeks ahead.
