Is there anyone not over the moon for Tank Dell today? What a display of mental and physical toughness, dedication and Via @JamesPalmerTV on X

What happened: Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell returns to the active lineup for his Week 7 debut against the New York Giants after recovering from the knee injury that sidelined him for all of 2025, drawing pregame praise from NFL reporter James Palmer for his physical and mental resiliency. Dell avoided the physically unable to perform list entering training camp on July 28 before being placed on injured reserve with a return designation on Aug. 30.

Why it matters: Reintegrating the former University of Houston wideout gives general manager Nick Caserio's offense a needed perimeter weapon as the club looks to halt an early four-loss slide. Dell's elevation headlined a Week 7 wave of roster activations across the league alongside Josh Jacobs, Jordan Mason, Christian Kirk, A.J. Terrell Jr., Jonah Coleman, Jonathon Cooper, and Cade Mays.

By the numbers: Drafted 69th overall in 2023, Dell spent the opening six weeks of the 2026 regular season on injured reserve before clearing his questionable designation on Oct. 24.

What to watch: Track Dell's snap share and route participation against New York to see how aggressively Houston deploys him in his first game action since 2024.
