What happened: The source signal lands as the Browns head into Tampa Bay's 2026 home opener against Cleveland, with the matchup back in focus this week. Tampa Bay did not punt last week and still only lost by one score despite four fumbles and a minus-3 turnover margin.

Why it matters: That kind of offensive control usually says more about a team's ceiling than one sloppy turnover game does. Cleveland also reshuffled its backfield this week by placing a running back on injured reserve and promoting another from the practice squad. Until the Browns look more settled week to week, the Buccaneers deserve more contender respect.
