What happened: Barcelona midfielder Gavi said his flare-up with Vinicius Junior during El Clasico was just part of the game, telling Movistar that what happens on the pitch stays there. Gavi said he told Vinicius to be quiet when the Real Madrid forward referenced the club's 15 Champions League titles, then added that Vinicius is a fantastic player and similarly fiery. The comments came after Barcelona's 2-0 win over Real Madrid on May 10 that sealed the La Liga title.

Why it matters: The quote lowers the temperature around one of the main flashpoints from a title-clinching Clasico and suggests no broader fallout is expected from Gavi's side. It also fits Gavi's earlier effort to downplay the incident after Barcelona wrapped up the league. For Real Madrid, the exchange lands at the end of a season-defining rivalry loss with Barcelona celebrating the title.

What to watch: Watch for any follow-up comments from Vinicius or Real Madrid after Gavi's attempt to close the issue publicly. Barcelona's next title-celebration appearances will show whether the Clasico spat carries over off the field.
