What happened: Liverpool manager Arne Slot told reporters he has "every reason to believe" he will remain in charge next season, per Fabrizio Romano. Slot added that plans for the upcoming campaign are already in motion and that talks with prospective new signings are ongoing. He stressed that he is personally involved in those recruitment conversations.

Why it matters: The statement attempts to quiet weeks of speculation around Slot's future after a turbulent stretch at Anfield. As previously reported, his job security has been a recurring storyline despite public backing from senior players. Confirmation that Slot is shaping the summer transfer plan signals the club is aligning around him rather than preparing a change.

What to watch: Watch for official club confirmation and the first concrete signings tied to Slot's recruitment plan. Any contradicting boardroom briefing would reopen the managerial question.
