What happened: Houston listed defensive tackle Kayden McDonald as limited with an ankle issue on Thursday's injury report. Will Anderson Jr. was listed for rest, while Wade Woodaz and Trent Brown were listed with thumb and wrist issues, respectively.

Why it matters: The Texans open at home against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, a matchup Houston has won in each of the past two meetings. Last year's four-point Houston win included eight sacks of Allen.

What to watch: McDonald's participation will be the key availability question before Sunday's opener.
