What happened: Haas announced that rookie Rafael Camara will step into the car for the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix, taking over the seat vacated by Esteban Ocon. The decision accelerates Camara's planned 2027 arrival after Haas moved to part ways with Ocon for the final stretch of the 2026 season.

Why it matters: Handing Camara his Formula 1 debut at Interlagos gives the Brazilian driver a home-race introduction before his full-time campaign next year. The early promotion also allows Haas to evaluate its future lineup alongside Oliver Bearman across the season's closing rounds.

What to watch: Camara takes to the track for opening practice at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Friday ahead of Sunday's Grand Prix.
